| "With the new casino information system, we are able to get the most out of the newest technologies, for example wireless data transmission and sending sales data to the video monitoring system", says Mr Erkki Luisto, product manager of RAY. |

Finland's Slot Machine Association (Raha-automaattiyhdistys RAY) was established in 1938 to raise funds from gaming operations to support Finnish health and welfare organisations. From the beginning, RAY has had an exclusive right to operate slot machines and casino tables in Finland. Most of the casino tables, about 330 units, are located in commercially-owned restaurants and hotels and about 60 tables in RAY's casinos.
In 1992, RAY launched the Pekka casino table system. With the Pekka system RAY collected information about sales, playing chips and croupiers' working time. Information was transferred once a week to RAY’s central system.
In the beginning of 2002, RAY had new requirements for the data transmission usability and maintainability. Also, the changes in the casino environment pressured to update the system. RAY placed concrete objectives for the new data collection system. Objectives were, for example, durable structure of the equipment, clear user interface and that the system must be able to operate during any data communication problems.
Tamtron Solutions was chosen to create a new casino information system in 2002. Key reasons were a competitive price and the company's knowledge of casino table operations as the supplier of an older version of the Pekka system. RAY was also convinced of Tamtron Solutions' supporting services and customer-orientated policy. "When the supplier knows our operation model and business practices, we save our own resources", says Mr Erkki Luisto, product manager at RAY.
Tamtron Solutions' CasInfo system

RAY has been very satisfied with Tamtron Solutions' CasInfo system. The system has turned out to be secure, very durable and reliable. Also, the wireless data transmission has proved to be a practical and functioning solution in the restaurant environment where the fixed installations are difficult to carry out.
