Novalab, founded in 1988, is a private and independent chemical and microbiological environment, water and victuals laboratory. Novalab's quality system is based on the SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard and it has been accredited as testing laboratory T 071 by the Finnish Centre for Metrology and Accreditation. Novalab has also been accepted into the Finnish Food Safety Authority's laboratory register. Novalab employs roughly two dozen people in Karkkila, Finland.

Novalab CEO Mr. Matti Mäkelä says that co-operation with Tamtron Solutions began from a clear need for an automatic working time attendance system.

The company wanted an easy-to-use system that could be connected to Novalab's pre-existing server. Quality and domesticity were also key criteria, as the company wanted to secure maintenance and replacement part shipments for years to come.

Mäkelä explains that Tamtron Solutions' systems tailored for small businesses best fit the tight demands set for the new system. In addition to filling the pre-set objectives, the potential to build an access control solution and payroll administration system into the pre-existing working time attendance system was seen as a very strong advantage at Novalab.

Novalab has been content with the delivered hardware and software. Despite a slow start, after some additional training the system can be administered better and more accurately, and everything has worked as expected.
