Tamtron Solutions' R500 RFID Gate is a reader gate that uses the UHF 868 MHz band freely usable in Europe for its remote identification functions. It's a high-capacity large range remote reader gate with integrated antennas. It excels in the bulk reading of passive transponders in retail and logistics markets. One R500 RFID Gate can consist of 2–4 readers.

The reading range of a single R500-UHF remote reader is 2–5 meters, and it can also write to transponders at a range of 2–4 meters. Multiple devices can be connected to each other to cover larger areas. Up to four R500-UHF's can be intraconnected to form reader gates for easy management of wider reading ranges.

The gate can identify several dozen transponders at once, regardless of whether the transponders are stationary or in motion. This makes the gate solution ideal for remote reading for logistics.
