Tamtron R1000-Giga is a high-capacity remote reader family designed especially for automatic vehicle identification and access control. Depending on the specific reader model the R1000 family offers 3 to 10 meters of reading range.

R1000 readers utilize the 2.45 GHz RF band for fast and efficient data transfer. The remote identifiers (or tags) used with the R1000 devices are long-lasting, credit card-sized semipassive identifiers which can be read effortlessly through the windshield or from the driver's pocket. The identifier can be read in motion, regardless of its position.

Depending on the reading conditions a R1000 reader can be installed either outdoors in a waterproof casing or indoors (e.g. garage). The R1000 family enables interference-free parallel installations, useful for e.g. railway reader solutions. The devices are also very resistant to outside interference.
